My advice is to graduate from an ABA accredited law school, then seek a job in the FBI or a local DA's office. Law School will open a lot of doors for you which will otherwise remain closed. Once you gain trial experience in the DA's office ( or maybe a U.S. Atty office- but normally they accept lawyers only if they have prior law practice experience) , a number of further doors will for you, such as a position in a law firm with a white collar crime defense practice , or the U.S. Atty's office in your area. I am a grad of UCLA Law School ( 1967) who learned my trial skills in the Los Angeles DA's office. You can see more of my background on the web under Laurence Schnabel . Good luck to you
Good afternoon Mr. Stiles,
Thank you for your service. Once you arrive in Houston, please send me your resume (byron.moore@gmail.com). I know some Houston law enforcement personnel, one of whom is former military, who I'll be happy to forward your resume to.
Take care,
Byron Moore
