Anyone willing to connect via LinkedIn and provide some feedback on my profile?

Veteran

Ben Sneyd Fuquay Varina, NC

I have spent some time developing (what I think is) a fairly polished resume with the help of my ACP mentor. However, I am extremely aware of the importance of LinkedIn in today's digital job search. It is my goal to put my best foot forward and provide a stellar LinkedIn profile to any hiring manager that may take the next step and search for me online.

Are there a few Advisors out there willing to connect and provide some feedback on my profile?

Please don't think you need to be nice. It is a work in progress and as I said, I am extremely aware of how important it is to "ACE" the LinkedIn aspect of your job search.

Thank you in advance!

Respectfully,
Benjamin A Sneyd

Thank you for all of the input!

I accepted all requests to connect and posted a request for some assistance in the MC4 forums. As far as industries or job titles; I am targeting IT and focusing my search on PreSales/technical consultant roles, information security/compliance, QA/Testing and project management.

I also spent sometime today revising my profile and updating things as suggested. Bear with me, as it's still a work in progress. I will continue working on it this week since I seem to be free for the foreseeable future...

Thanks again!

Ben

Hi Ben,

I just reached out to you on LI. Feel free to connect and I'd be happy to share some additional feedback. For the sake of the forum I will add:

All of the empirical data and $ figures you list is good & demonstrates your understanding of scope.

I would say the NCOIC position could be grouped different with bulletpoint sections or with less words altogether.

Identifying types of specific jobs at specific companies will help you highlight certain career achievement you have clearly earned; and maybe it helps you shorten your descriptions, or again, use a bullet-point grouping system that aggregates certain skills by relevancy to your target job titles/industry.

Also use your headline to call attention to Hiring Managers by saying something specific like "Military Security Network expert seeking IT opportunities".

Ben,
You may also wish to request assistance on the MC4 and the Veteran Mentor Network LinkedIn groups.
