Responsible for providing technical and customer support for installed systems in support of government and commercial service contracts. Will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and debug complex electro/mechanical equipment, X-ray systems, trace detection, walk through metal detectors, bottle liquid scanners and AIT systems. Follow standard procedures to: perform compliant preventative maintenance and isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Report design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to technical support. Work on complex problems where analysis of data requires an evaluation of identifiable factors.
Will required to work at many airports for extended periods and to travel as directed to support various types of security equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

◾Responsible for providing technical and customer support for installed systems.

◾Will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and debug complex electro/mechanical equipment, X-ray systems, and computer systems and/or complex software

◾Will follow standard procedures to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

◾Report design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to technical support.

◾Work on complex problems where analysis of data requires an evaluation of identifiable factors.

◾Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results

◾Other duties include maintaining excellent customer relations, professionally representing Morpho Detection Inc., assisting with customer training.

◾Work with various OEM second level support technicians

◾Assume responsibility for continued customer satisfaction, and coordinates all activities with the customer.

◾Must be proficient in reporting activities, maintaining local spare parts inventory, recording travel expenses and time card, implement Field Service Bulletins (FSB), maintain customer log books, and use sound judgment when dealing with customers.

◾Must be self-starter, work well without supervision, and accept responsibility.

◾Requires both domestic and international travel.

Desired Characteristics:

◾Bachelor’s in Electronics is a plus.

◾Computer experience is required: Windows & UNIX based platforms

◾Good customer skills and the ability to work under pressure are required.

Position Requirements
Position Requirements:

◾Associate’s degree in electronics or formal electronic vocational training.

◾Minimum 2 years’ experience as a field service technician on security or medical equipment. Aircraft Maintenance background A&P/FCC certified is also an acceptable skill set.

◾Requires both domestic (CONUS/OCONUS) travel.

◾The candidate must be able to lift / carry 50 lbs.

◾The candidate must be able to push / pull 200 lbs.

◾The candidate must be able to work and freely navigate in the baggage area of the airport where vertical ladders, cross-overs, and low overhead ceiling frequently occur.

◾Must be able to work in extreme environments and lift heavy objects.

Additional Requirements:

◾This position has the additional requirement of eligibility to apply for a US Security Clearance.

◾Must be found eligible under U.S. Government EQiP process.
