Purpose of the Position: Under moderate supervision performs a variety of customer service duties including data/order entry, counter and telephone customer service, and other duties to the Customer Service Department in support of the Company vision, mission, and strategic plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Works towards service excellence by providing all customers with accurate and timely service information in accordance with Company standards.

· Accurately and in a timely fashion, enters all orders in the database, verifying and communicating product availability and delivery information. Works towards processing all faxed orders within 1 hour of receipt.

· To the best of the employee’s ability, identifies orders needing pricing overrides and expedites approval requests for the timely entry of such orders in the database.

· Files or routes source documents after entry. Responds to inquiries regarding entered data.

· Communicates effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers, following proper telephone and email etiquettes.

· Contributes to the team effort by assisting CSR’s with the entry of internet orders, handling the overflow of faxes coming to another region and assisting with the workload when a CSR is out of the office. Is available to assist other departments with the entry of promotional orders.

· Follows standardized work procedures, departmental processes and Company guidelines, making suggestions to improve efficiency.

· Acts as a liaison of sales, promoting the Customer Service Spotlight Items of the week by faxing the weekly specials to the customers who typically fax their orders in.

· Maintains attendance at or above designated standards. Is available to process faxed and emailed orders at assigned start time and works overtime when necessary.

· Observes and enforces all Company rules and safety practices.

· Within the knowledge, skill and/or ability of the individual, performs such other duties as shall be required by the management team.

Tools and Equipment Used:

Computer, telephone, calculator, fax and copy machines

Interfaces (Internal and External):

· Daily contact with coworkers in person and customers by phone and fax.

· Frequent contact with other locations by phone or fax to obtain and provide information.

Work Environment:

Normal office environment.

Occasional local and overnight travel to other Company locations.

Minimum Requirements (Education and Experience):

· Business courses preferred

· 1+ years of general office/data entry experience

· 10 key by touch

· Good oral and written communication skills

· PC skills (spreadsheet and word processing) experience

· Industry knowledge a plus
