As our next Op-Ex Manager you will be given the challenging and rewarding opportunity to develop one of our plant's action plan from A to Z as we aim to achieve HPO status! Working closely with Plant Leadership you will build Op-Ex principles and train and develop teams to ensure successful execution of these principles. With a hands on approach your efforts will lead to cost cutting, quality improvement, and overall excellence within your assigned plant.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the site leadership team in developing the site’s overall Op-Ex plan in alignment with the site manager and corporate Op-Ex
Ensures that the site manager is aware of the corporate requirements and partners with them in building an integrated Op-Ex plan that delivers both the needed results and the growth in capability (skills and culture) for sustaining and continuous improvement
Develop and execute a communication plan to support the roll-out and education on Op-Ex to the total site
Communicate corporate Op-Ex standards and information as needed into the site
Provide progress reports to corporate Op-Ex about the site’s Op-Ex status, and provide gap analysis
Lead OEE reporting and Root-Cause Analysis
Lead or coach focused improvement activities and teams to improve OEE and other results like quality, safety, delivery, and cost
Conduct root cause analysis and coaching to resolve production issues
Coach and teach the daily Op-Ex plant management system at the floor and at the plant management levels
Lead and coach individuals and teams to solve problems using Op-Ex methods such as Why-Why, 6Sigma, and other root cause analysis methods
Execute projects to improve equality, safety, productivity and cost
Facilitate and co-facilitate various Op-Ex workshops and training event
Works with the site manager and site leadership team to make the plant capable to measure, visualize, analyze, improve, and report these KPI’s, and to roll them up into the site score-card
Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (BS) in a Scientific or Engineering field
Knowledge and experience with at least one of the following modern continuous improvement methods (LEAN, TPM, 6 Sigma, TQM)
Demonstrated experience and passion for working with people to help them run their operations at ever improving levels of performance
High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to work effectively in a team
Likes to learn and teach
Passion for building capabilities in others
Ability to create project timeline and to make such a timeline get delivered on time
Willingness to travel (up to 10%)
