Overview

The Associate Principal Pricing Analyst will be an integral member of the capture / proposal team assisting in the development of the pricing strategy, identifying risks and interpreting solicitation requirements. The Pricing Analyst is responsible for ensuring that proposals are developed in accordance with FAR and customer requirements and supports cost proposals from receipt of the RFP through negotiations of the contract. The role and work environment are highly collaborative with a great deal of interface across departments and functions, as well as high exposure to executive leadership. The best individual for this position is proactive, highly motivated, and excels in both technical skills and oral presentation.

Responsibilities

Act as Cost Volume lead and internal/external point of contact; independently plans and prepares large-scale budgets and business proposals
Review and analyze RFP, SOW, and technical solution data to determine factors that affect price
Collect and evaluate functional inputs assuring that all requirements are proposed appropriately and are compliant with the RFP
Create comprehensive, summarized pricing packages for management reviews
Participate in pricing review with upper management and coordinate with senior staff to execute pricing structure
Assist in development of pricing strategy, and Price-to-Win analysis
Support financial business case and risk assessments
Collaborate on the determination of cost proposal policies, standards, automations and procedures

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Management, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years' experience in US Government contractor pricing required
A combination of equivalent education and work experience may be substituted for the above requirements
Knowledgeable in US Code & Federal Acquisition Regulations related to contract pricing, and DFARS Estimating System criteria
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong written and oral communication
Aptitude for problem solving and solution implementation
Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with business partners
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to work under short deadlines and multi-task

Basic Compensation: $120,000 - $165,000 yearly salary

The salary offered within this range will be based on the selected candidates’ skills, experience, education, market data, and internal parity. DLH may offer other rewards that may include performance incentives and program-specific awards. An applicant’s salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
