Description
Job Supervisory Responsibilities: Will oversee one or more scrum teams to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications. Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.

General Summary: Plan, develop and execute a series of agile projects. Create dashboards, basic analytics and predictive analytics. Ensure that project activities are performed consistent with SAFe/Lean-agile practices. Manage project scrum teams and coach teams to implement agile project management methodologies involved in delivery of various IT software development and implementation projects for the client. Coach teams to adopt a mindset of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions:

Lead and coach project teams to drive successful delivery of highest value features
Configure and use agile/scrum tools (Jira and Confluence) for project activities
Lead teams in implementing Scrum maximizing value delivery. Collaborate with Product Owner and team to ensure highest value features are delivered.
Actively participate in assisting the team resolving issues and escalate as needed. Work with technical resources to coordinate outside part time resources as needed.
Prepare and conduct periodic project status reports to update project governance teams and executive management regularly on progress, risks and issues.
Prepare monthly project status updates per established processes, and present to leadership and stakeholders as necessary
Manages project execution to achieve highest value project deliverables within the established schedule and budget.
Track progress on a daily basis through burn up, burn down and velocity tracking. Understand and help Product Owner manage product backlog.
Actively work to codify processes, improve workflow, and reduce bottlenecks with team
Conducts SAFe ceremonies
Conducts SAFe ceremonies on regular cadence, including daily stand up, backlog refinement, sprint demonstrations, and retrospectives.
Utilize team retrospectives to support continuous improvement through backlog work items.
Participates in, leads and presents where necessary at ART activities including Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt, System Demo and Program Increment Planning
Lead AD hoc training and workshops where necessary to improve team function
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience), Scrum Master Certification required, preference given to SAFe certifications (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Teams, SPC, DevOps, Agile Software Engineer)

Experience Requirement: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in agile software development projects. Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a scrum master.

Other Requirement(s): This position requires U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card holder and the ability to obtain and maintain a Government public trust level security clearance. For a candidate that is a Green Card holder, they must have lived in the United States for at least three out of the past five years prior to your application date. You will also meet the residency qualifications if you lived abroad while on government or military duty or if you were a dependent of a federal employee of military member.

Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with all staff and visitors.
5+ years of IT software Project Management experience
1 - 3 years Scrum Master experience
Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Proven ability to drive project planning and execution process and add value beyond just a task oriented doer or project manager
Familiarity with systems development lifecycle (SDLC)
Proven ability to function in a fast moving and rapidly evolving environment
Bachelor’s Degree recommended
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment: Work performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and customers.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Must be able to remain in stationary position for extended periods of time. Stress can be triggered by multiple demands and deadlines.
