The primary purpose of this job is to assist the Credit Union to achieve its mission to make a difference in our neighbors’ lives. This is accomplished by providing outstanding service to both internal and external members. An important element of this outstanding service is identifying the financial needs of the member and effectively suggesting solutions that will improve the member’s financial life. Additionally, under general supervision of the Collections Manager, a Collections Fulfillment Officer is responsible for performing a wide variety of member Collections duties.
A Collection Fulfillment Officer promotes and maintains a positive image of the Credit Union.
Researches and analyzes data on past due loan accounts, non-sufficient return items, negative share balances
and claims of fraudulent account activity.
Contacts members via telephone, letter and email to determine reason for delinquency.
Negotiates and establishes repayment process with member or recommends extension of credit.
Uses skip tracing to locate members or property.
Evaluates payments made on delinquent accounts and determines how payment will be applied.
