The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) seeks a Senior Director to join our Corporate Finance team. Reporting to the CFO, this position is primarily responsible for:

• Overseeing and coordinating accounting department operation for several for-profit and not-for-profit companies to ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records;
• The preparation of consolidated financial statements, annual budgets, and forecasts;
• Completion of multiple annual audits;
• Timely preparation of regulatory and tax filings;
• The preparation of variance analyses and other financial models to support business initiatives and decision making

This position will also provide analysis and support to the CFO, maintain and enhance accounting systems, train and supervise staff, monitor accounting policies and procedures, and participate in and lead company-wide project teams.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. (MBA or CPA preferred). An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be substituted
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience and 5 years of experience managing an accounting department
• Be highly competent in financial accounting and accounting operations with experience in a multiple business unit environment
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Be an effective manager with strong interpersonal skills and work well in a team and project oriented environment
• Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: financial statement consolidations, preparation of Form 1120 and 990 tax returns and payroll management
