Radar technician to provide fabrication and repair service on radar data collection equipment sets, perform equipment operational checkout, and installation/removal support at test sites and Navy ships as directed by government representative. Position will also provide inventory management of repair parts/pieces and materiel specific to radar data collection systems. Inventory management includes space organization, materiel, tools and cleanliness to repair equipment/systems. Will work with Navy officials or senior engineers, and be responsible for contributing to systems engineering tasking for existing and/or new and evolving tactical Air Surveillance, Fire Control, and/or Ground Weapons Locating Radars.

*Minimum Requirements
At least 3 years of job-related experience as an electronics technician/maintainer with a Bachelor’s Degree; or Vocational/ Technical school or Associates degree and at least 6 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Specialized Experience: Experience with the installation, operation and troubleshooting of basic analog and digital electronics, electrical components and systems. Experience with setup and use of electronic laboratory and radio frequency & microwave instrumentation, including multi-meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, vector network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. Basic understanding of RF and electronics circuit diagrams, including the ability to fabricate simple circuits from a schematic using point to point wiring / soldering techniques

Bachelor’s degree in technical field and/or Vocational/ Technical school or Associates degree and at least 6 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

*Preferred Qualifications
.
Preferred is experience with Navy Aegis Fire-Control Radar equipment maintenance and operations. Experience performing data analysis using MATLAB or other analysis tools is desired. Experience with collecting and/or analyzing data for military radar or Combat Systems to evaluate performance.
