About Sammy
I am a military veteran with seventeen years experience as a corrections officer for the state of Texas. I am currently finishing a two-year Associate's of Applied Science degree plan in the Occupational Safety and Health Technology curriculum at Kilgore College. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, with course work in Accident Prevention/Investigation, Fire Prevention, DOT, Construction, General Industry, First Aid/CPR/AED, and confined spaces. My last two core classes are Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Regulations. I also have a Silver Certificate for WorkKeys. I am also a safety intern at Sadler's Smokehouse in Henderson, Texas. I should finish my internship upon graduation in May of 2016.
