About Bruce
I have been a licensed and nationally certified Counselor specializing in Career Development for more than 30 years. I have worked in the private sector (owned my own business and worked for others), county government ((JTPA and WIA), and higher education (I have worked in seven colleges and universities all over the country as faculty, staff, Director of the Career Center, and administrator (my last job).
I believe that everyone has natural talents and strengths and the goal of career development should be to help each job seeker identify those talents. I am the author of various career materials that make that possible. Once that has been achieved, together we would and use that knowledge to identify the job seeker's options and begin the process of learning how to find a job (researching careers, writing resumes, cover letters, and job applications, learning how to interview, how to win the offer, and how to evaluate the offers you receive).
I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Missouri and an undergraduate degree in Geology from Principia College.
I retired five years ago from working full-time and am currently serving on the Board of Directors of five organizations (both non-profit and private sector organizations) in northern California.
