About Kevin

I am a Native kid that escaped the Skokomish Reservation for the infantry. Eventually, I ended up becoming a PhD (education).

I am also a disabled veteran (Somalia) that channeled my PTSD into autodidiactism and a polymathory. I use my skills to organize projects, write grants to build communities, build and program computers, build robots, grow gardens, raise animals, and preserve food. I am a voracious reader and avid learner of new skills.

Today I seek to leverage my talents and credentials to work on projects that can change the world. Primarily I seek to create and promote projects and solutions that showcase community capacity and resiliency. Ideally, I want to use these works to frame the protection, promotion, and expansion of the "public good" (i.e., good schools, good jobs, clean water, clean air, fertile soil). Though I have had a varied career, my two primary areas of professional expertise are educational credentialism and rural community development. I seek to reorient educational reform to complement our communities, not just treat education as an activity that happens on some campus for a private end that few ever benefit from.

What I am looking for is assistance on business development and marketing education and information. It has become abundantly clear to me that the limit factor I now face in my work primarily involves marketing and business development - two traditions of thought not readily taught nor abundant in many Native communities. I am looking for someone to help me with those facets, as much as I am looking for someone to talk with about how to make the world a more just and caring place.
