About Kai

I am a Residential Architect in Austin...in the GREAT state of Texas. I have lived here in Austin for about 22 years. I am actually a German citizen and have been living here in the states since 8th grade and was lucky enough to make my way to Texas. I left Germany when I was 9 years old, moved to Malaysia where I learned to speak English. I lived in Malaysia for 4 years, then moved to New York for High school, then to Virginia Tech for College and then to Austin.
I love Architecture and Virginia Tech was a great choice for me. It was the #3 school in the nation at the time for Architecture and to this day remains an amazing school....I felt very lucky to have been able to go there.
I spent 12 years with another firm in Austin before deciding to spread my own wings. I now own my own residential architecture firm and I am happy to say things are going well in Austin. I feel very fortunate to be here in the States and don't take for granted the amazing freedoms and privileges that come with that. While I do still cheer for the German World cup soccer team, I cheer for the American team just as much....and can't wait for the next world cup. :)
