I got a lot more than I bargained for... I joined the USAF at age 19 in search of a way out and a means to continue growing myself. I knew I wanted to belong to something bigger and that I was meant to do more however the trajectory I was on wasn't leading me down a good path. So I dropped out of college quit all 3 of my jobs I had at the time and enlisted.
I'm a language analyst and I've been in for 5 years now. I was upset when I received Arabic as my language as it didn't sound as cool as Chinese. At the time I had no idea where the Middle East was or what Islam was. Fast forward and I consider it to be one of the biggest blessings I've received to date as it has opened many doors and broadened my mind in ways I didn't understand.
My time in the military is drawing to an end and I'm looking to continue learning and growing myself as a leader and as a person in general. I'm looking to ultimately work for myself and live life on my own terms.
