About Ben

Hello -

My name is Ben and I am an operations manager for Ameriprise Financial. My team consists of 12 individuals who process outgoing money movement transactions and other account maintenance related processes. I also support a group of 30 individuals in India.

Out of high school, I went to college gaining a degree in Criminal Justice Studies from the University of North Dakota. Upon completion, the job market was tough so I started a career at Sleep Number corporation working as a customer service representative. Within a year I was promoted to our Digital Team which provided customer service and sales support with online chat.

After 4 years with the company I decided it was the right time to make a change so I started looking around at opportunities. I applied at Ameriprise Financial and was given the opportunity to start as a customer service representative taking calls from financial advisors needing assistance with their client accounts. I spent 1.5 years doing that job and was promoted to operations professional. I worked a few years in operations until I was promoted to management which I am still doing to this day.

I really enjoy my organization and my team. Every day I get to work with new people on projects and problem solve when issues arise. I plan on staying in management and with this organization for a long time to come.

Outside of work I enjoy sports (die hard Vikings and Wild fan). I also enjoy going to hard rock concerts and festivals and generally listening to music. I also play some sports including softball and hockey. My favorite foods are wings and pizza.
