About Michael
I served in the military for nearly 10 years, most recently as a Special Agent in the Department of the Army. I was responsible for conducting, overseeing, tracking and managing hundreds of sensitive investigations, both personally and through managing teams of special agents, within the US and overseas. I left government service in 2012 after sustaining several injuries while on a special mission in Afghanistan. I entered law school almost immediately thereafter. While in school, I was selected for advanced standing in an accelerated JD/LLM in Taxation program and I also focused a significant portion of my studies on legal technology and innovation. Prior to law school, I earned a BA in Criminal Justice and also completed an MBA.
I now work as national manager for a consumer law firm with over 500 attorneys and over 100 office locations. I direct report to the CEO and work primarily in an operations role; however, I also do in-house legal work and track and monitor business activities while maintaining open channels of communication with the Chief Technology Officer, the Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief Financial Officer.
