About Samantha

Hi there! I'm Sam! I'm currently a certified agile Product Owner for USAA. As a PO, I oversee IT teams who perform compliance related Auto Insurance system updates. Prior to this role, I spent 7 years as a licensed personal lines insurance agent for all 50 states. I have been a remote employee since long before the pandemic and as an activy duty spouse, I'm here to tell you IT IS POSSIBLE to have a solid career even if you move every 1-2 years. I absolutely love my career and everything that my company stands for!

I am a proud US Army JAG Corps spouse and enjoy the transient lifestyle associated with active duty life. I also love spending time with my two kiddos, Emily (02/2020) and Lucas (08/2018). When I'm not working or being mommy, I love to cook. There's something very relaxing about discovering new flavors and making others happy through warm food. I also love to run outdoors and sleep. Yeah, I said sleep.

I have a bachelor's degree in business from the University of South Florida and also hold multiple SAFe Agile designations (SM, POPM and APM).
