I served as a Family Physician in the Army from 1989 to 2011; worked in Healthcare IT in building the Clinical Informatics Division at Madigan Army Hospital supporting local and national initiatives and information exchange with the VA; for the last 3-1/2 years in industry (at CACI for 3 and now 6 months at IBM, serve as the CMIO to build the presence and support from IBM to the Federal customers that deliver and support healthcare delivery with IT solutions and services; Education: BA Philosophy, MD, MPH, Board Certified in Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics; passionate about the transformation of healthcare in the Federal space and the national system.
