About Donna

Donna attended college at the University of Lowell (now University of Massachusetts in Lowell) where she received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Masters of Business Administration in Operations Management. Donna has held a wide variety of jobs with her current employer Verizon over her 22-year career. As part of these assignments, Donna has been professionally trained as a speaker and company spokesperson, representing Verizon at numerous industry conferences, investor relation’s events and with governmental leaders. Donna is an active a member of the Verizon of Maryland Speaker’s Bureau program.

Donna has served on several Boards at the local, state, national and international organization levels for several community service organizations. These include Chair of The Kennedy Center Volunteers; President of Rockville Sister Cities International; local chapter officer, State Program Manager, Director, Statewide VP, International Affairs Commission member United State Junior Chamber of Commerce, Assistant to the World President Junior Chamber International, International Competition Judge (Speaking and Debate); International Trainer for the Junior Chamber of Commerce and Junior Chamber International; Board of Director/Secretary for the United States Junior Chamber Foundation; Director of Programming Women’s Association of Verizon Employees; Board Member Montgomery County Ethnic Affairs Committee and Mattaponi Chapter President for Native American People of Verizon.

As part of her volunteer and work efforts, Donna has traveled to approximately 38 states, 20 countries and helped with the production of numerous television show specials and award programs including, Kennedy Center Honors, Christmas in Washington, Literacy Honors, All Star Salute to the Troops – Desert Storm, and the first Clinton Presidential Inauguration.

For all of her volunteer efforts, Donna has been awarded a key to the City of Rockville, a Proclamation from Parris Glendenning, Past Governor of Maryland for her contributions to the state, Named Outstanding Young Marylander by the Maryland Jaycees, Outstanding Young Woman of America, and numerous honors from the US Junior Chamber of Commerce. At work she is a finalist (2003) and winner (2005) for the Verizon Excellence Awards
