About Donald

I grew up in the Detroit, Michigan metropolitan area. Decided to join the US Army on September 14, 2005 as a Signal Support Systems Specialist (MOS 25U). I enlisted to follow the family tradition and so that I could obtain marketable skills and professional growth to take with me on my re-entry to the civilian workforce. I did so, in order to capture a meaningful career I could enjoy while providing a brighter future for my family. During my thirteen years in the US Army and four deployments later. I honed in on skills such as; leadership, management, communication, adaptability, and problem solving just to name a few. I'm very passionate about helping others and spending as much time with my family as possible. Spending vast amounts of time away from them over the years while on deployments and field exercises makes you cherish every second spent together. As far as education goes, I have some college but have yet to gain a degree. I have over 80 semester hours. However, I have completed a Human Resources course through Syracuse University and currently working on another course titled, Customer Service Excellence. Also, I am studying for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification exam. My goals are; find an entry level position in HR near by preferred but willing to relocate if required, enroll into a degree program after being hired to obtain a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management, and pursue my masters after that. I really want to save my GI Bill for my Daughter. She shows real promise and wants to go to college after she graduates high school in 2020.
