About Betty

With nearly 20 years of media research experience, Betty Diaz is currently a Research Director for CBS Affiliate Relations since 2016. She currently supports Affiliate Relations and Television Networks Distribution teams with strategies to promote the CBS brand and CBS content with video distributors and affiliates. She assists the sales and marketing teams with licensing and distributing Television content on multi-platforms to include cable, mobile and online; by providing top-notch competitive research analysis that identify area of risks and opportunities for each of these platforms.

Betty Diaz is involved with several diversity and inclusion programs. As the CBS Veterans Network East Coast Director, she oversees military-related initiatives for CBS employees. We recognize the hard work and dedication it takes to serve our country, and we’re proud to support our veterans’ career development by helping them network with the best in our business. She also serves on the steering committee for CBS employee resource group, RAD, which was founded under the principles of Respect, Appreciation and Development. RAD aims to promote an environment of inclusion at CBS that is reflective of the community at large. Additionally, Betty is also on the committee for CBS ANGLE, whose mission is to promote awareness amongst members and others about the value of diversity in our workforce by serving as an information resource on issues concerning sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.

Betty is the Founder of the Celebr8YOU movement, an inspirational campaign that promotes community kindness and celebrates people on the eighth day of every month. The organization also provides celebration & charitable services which include but are not limited to organizing holiday celebrations and charitable giving campaigns. Betty was recently acknowledged and presented a certificate of merit by Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez of Assembly District 80 in the Bronx for her work in the community in raising awareness of Eye Health and Wellness and creating the movement Celebr8YOU. Betty attended State University of New York, College at Oswego in Oswego, New York and graduated with a B.A in Communications. She currently resides in New York City with her five year old son.
