About Steve

I have worked in the Healthcare Industry for 24 years, and in the Compensation field for over 14. I am currently the Compensation Lead for Global R&D. Before that I was the Comp Lead for our Intercontinental Region, which was the rest of the world outside the US and Europe, and prior to that I did Comp for our US Sales and Marketing, and Global Manufacturing organizations. I've also done developmental rotations as an HR Business Partner and in Executive Compensation.

What is Compensation work - it is making sure our employees are paid competitively, paid equitably and ensuring there is nothing discriminatory in our pay practices, and making sure that people who do their job better make more money. It is part of Human Resources.

I have experience dealing with employees at all levels, including senior leadership. I also have a strong reputation for collaboration, working together to find answers to questions, not simply saying “no” to a challenging issue. Finally, working in Compensation for 14 years means that I have good analytical experience but I'm also used to working in an emotional environment. It's people's pay, and they care. I know I care about mine.

I hope to contribute to Advisornet in a meaningful way. How we treat/help our veterans transition to civilian life is very important to me as I've helped my nephew do the same as he left the Army.
