Hello,
My name is Kif Richmann and I am a self-employed content writer living in Waverly, Iowa. My business is mainly centered around creating blog articles and web content for small to medium-sized businesses.
After working a few years in construction, I studied communication studies and journalism at The University of Iowa, hoping to go into sports broadcasting. I graduated with two majors: BAs in Communication Studies and Journalism and Mass Communication.
I want to help as an advisor because I never served in the armed forces and, quite frankly, feel a little shame for not doing my part. I have enjoyed the benefits of a free, prosperous nation, but have never served in any capacity, and for that I feel a little guilt. I hope that by helping in this capacity I can at least say I have done something, however small.
After losing interest in journalism and broadcasting (mostly because of spending so much time on it in college) I took an internship for a company that literally builds highways and interstates. I found that I could make money with my writing and communication skills in industries beyond newspapers and radio stations. I worked a couple of jobs in web-content creation and eventually starting taking projects on the side. Soon I was making more money on the side than at my full-time job, so, after getting my wife's blessing, I made the leap into full-time freelancing. It has been going great, and while I don't always love the projects I work on, I absolutely love the freedom and flexibility that this career brings to my life.
I live with my wife and daughter, who was born in September of 2018. My passions are basically sports, reading, and the outdoors. I care far too much about the Iowa football team and the Chicago Cubs, and I try to read at least a half-hour every day, mostly history but also sports, science, and business or personal development. I grew up riding horses and also enjoy fishing and some hunting, as well as hiking and kayaking.
