About Sara

I am a former Air Force veteran (8 years) and I live in Canton, Michigan. I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and my dog and cat. I also enjoy traveling, camping, yard saling, and watching old black and white shows and movies. I'm an avid Andy Griffith fan. I have 19 years of HR experience in all areas of human resources, supporting individual and multi-unit locations. I have an MSA in Human Resources Management. I enjoy helping military members translate their experience to "civilian" positions in their field, industry, or position of interest. I'm also looking for veteran employees to work with our company! I have a passion for helping with resume and interview workshops. I remember when I was getting close to separating from active duty, and how scared I was about starting a new career, leaving my close military friends, and starting over. I researched and networked with others to help me during those scary months. That experience (coupled with the Transition Assistance Program) is what actually inspired me to pursue a career in human resources. I learned so much about writing resumes and translating my experience to something that employers could understand and value. That's when I really decided i wanted to work in a field where I could focus on employee development, career-building, employee relations and recruiting/hiring. I'd love to learn more about how we can partner to help our fellow veterans land their dream job!
