About bernie
I've had a 30 year sales & sales management career in the paper industry. The companies I've worked for are American paper manufacturers. The company I've worked for the last 20 years ( Neenah Paper) is a specialty papermaker . (Along the way I picked up an MBA while working full time in a travel territory with 3 kids under the age of 7 .)
In my role as a Sales Director I manage a region of 10 sellers that is @ $140 million . I'm involved in hiring & development , scripting training curriculum ,key customer relations and working on broader strategic projects which have included diligence of potential acquisitions and integrating sales organizations of companies acquired.
My hobby is building rehab and repair . I have renovated and flipped and developed a rental property portfolio as an income stream for when I retire.
My oldest son was an 11-B Army Sgt. with the 1st Cavalry who was KIA in Baghdad in October, 2004. I've watched his fellow soldiers re-integrate into civilian life with varying degrees of success over the past 12 years. It's important to me to do anything that I can do to help and offer perspective to those that have served and are trying to re-establish themselves in a civilian world.
