About James

As a dedicated non-commissioned officer in the US Air Force I have gained nearly 19 years of successful management and leadership experience. While consistently displaying top-ranked performance in every position held, I have earned a reputation for making challenging opportunities and difficult situations transform into effective solutions. My career achievements reveal my strong charismatic leadership attributes and ability to be a great teammate.

I am in the final year of earning my MBA from Columbia Southern University and plan to leverage this degree with my knowledge gained throughout my military career to apply business focus to the private sector. I am excited for the opportunity to use my experience and education to lead great organizations in exceeding standards for cutting-edge innovation, yield, performance, and partnership.

Prior to my current role as a Warranted Contracting Officer, I served as a Firefighter (both private sector and US Air Force) and an Emergency Medical Technician. During my time as a firefighter, I earned many certifications and held every possible position up to District Chief and Incident Commander. My ability to lead in the most stressful of environments is highlighted by multiple achievement awards to include the John L. Levitow Award, which is the highest award for Enlisted Professional Military Education in the US Air Force. It is presented to the student who demonstrates the most outstanding leadership and scholastic achievement.

As a military acquisition professional, I have been responsible for the award and administration of over $200 million in total spend. My vast experiences include; awarding/managing construction, medical service, and professional service contracts; providing policy and staff level guidance at the numbered Air Force; planning and deploying for humanitarian assistance/disaster relief engagements; participating in the award of other transaction authority contracts to support the US Air Force SBIR/STTR program; and awarding IT service, software, and license contracts while supporting the US Air Force software factory Platform One.
