About Douglas

I served in the US Navy for 6 yrs and the Michigan Army National Guard. While serving in the Navy I was part of the Peace Keeping Mission in Beirut Lebanon. After returning to the Military with the 1461st Trans Co. I deployed to Iraq 2003 before suffering a deadly Staph Infection only 63 days in theater. Being discharged Nov 2004 I returned home to Michigan. 2006 I enrolled into the Vocational Rehabilitation Program obtaining my Associates in Business Admin and a certificate in Marketing.
Keeping with my education I finished course work in Communication studies at Eastern Michigan University in 2012 and 2014 with my Bachelors and Masters respectively.Community involvement I am the Founder of Operation Sandbox Santa a Non Profit Care Package Org. I live the code of the Military daily always remembering having my fellow Comrades 6.
I am an active VFW Officer with Post 423 in Ann Arbor Mi. as Post Surgeon. For my communication and Leadership development I'm now in my 14th yr with Toastmasters International, currently 2015-16 President of Fraternal Order of EaglesAerie 612 in my hometown of Jackson Michigan. Other interests include NASCAR, U of M Sports, Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, and continuing to raise funds to help my fellow Comrades and their Families.
I'm open to relocation if the opportunity is worth it and rewarding.
