About Edward

Edward Marchewka is the Director of Information & Technology Services for Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network. In his role, Edward is responsible for maintaining and securing the infrastructure for 24/7/365 operations, supporting the IT customer environment, and delivering and supporting the enterprise applications that run Gift of Hope. His teams work with Gift of Hope's internal and external customers to deliver high-quality information and technology services. He is also the Founder of CHICAGO Metrics™, is a program to help manage your company's key IT and Information Security risks: Confidentiality, Human Resources, Integrity, Character, Availability, and Gold, by taking any number of tactical metrics and aggregating them into these six business aligned Key Performance/Risk Indicators.

Before joining Gift of Hope, Edward was the Enterprise Information Security and Server Operations Manager for Chicago Public Schools, the third largest school district in the country. Additionally, his IT background includes experiences ranging from running his own business to performing field service to serving a Fortune 250 company, Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Edward holds active certifications from (ISC)2, ITIL, PCI, Microsoft and CompTIA; a designation from the National Security Agency; and legacy certifications from Cisco and HP. He is a member of (ISC)2 and the Association of Information Technology Professionals and is a board member with the Chicago InfraGard. Edward also is involved with ChicagoFIRST and the Chicago Electronic Crimes Task Force and is on the governing body for Evanta's CISO Executive Summit, an annual professional development event for chief information security officers.

Edward holds an MBA and a master of science degree in mathematics from Northern Illinois University and a bachelor of arts in liberal studies and a bachelor of science in nuclear engineering technologies, both from Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, N.J. He also holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Edward is a Navy veteran.
