About MD Hamidur
My name is MD Hamidur Rahman. I grew up in Buffalo, NY. I am a first-generation immigrant and the first in my family to complete college. After high school, I joined US Army National Guard as a Business Operations Specialist. One fun fact about me is English is my 4th language.
Currently, I am pursuing my part-time master’s degree in Data Science/Analytics at Baruch College where I am now taking programming courses like SQL, R, Data Mining, and Python. I also finished my bachelor’s degree from Baruch College majoring in Finance & Investments.
Before deciding to pursue a master’s degree I was working at IBM as a Business Transformation Consultant where I had the opportunity to work with some F500 clients During my time at IBM, I was given the opportunity to earn certification in SAP Analytics S/4 Hana, a next-generation ERP system which allowed me to work on projects to perform data management, implementation analysis, and data processing.
