About Jacob
Designer. Developer. Combat Infantryman. Serial entrepreneur.
Jacob served in the Kansas Army National Guard from 2002-2008. He was deployed to Baghdad as an Infantry Sergeant in the 2nd 137th Infantry attached to 5th Group Special Forces, in support of OIF 2005-06.
In 2008 he found the time to graduate from Johnson County Community College with an Associate’s degree in Graphic Design. He liked it so much that he later taught design there for 2 years.
These days Jacob is a Sr. Experience Designer at Vrbo.com (formerly known as HomeAway). He’s also on the board for design and development at his alma mater, serves as an advisor to several startups, and he’s been running his digital agency, &Pixels for the last 10 years.
