About Miguel

I graduated from California State University, Long Beach on December 2017. As the new year began, I enlisted for the U.S. Army on January 9, 2018. So far, I have served 4 years and I am awaiting to get discharge from the Army on June 2022.

Education has been a priority for me. I grew up in a low-income neighborhood, so obtaining an education was deemed necessary. Thankfully, I graduated from a four-year university. Continued my education while on active duty, by earning a graduate certificate in urban and regional planning on August 2021.

In order to earn a masters in the profession I want to enter, I applied for three urban planning programs at New York University, Hunters College, and Rutgers University. I am currently awaiting for acceptance into the programs.

In the meantime, I want to gain experience in the field I want to transition to.
