About Ronald
Ron Perry is a product development project manager, staff supervisor, consultant, designer, artist and teacher.
Most recently, as Business Development Manager for a product development firm, he built a solid track record of securing new Client contracts using a thorough, organized, consultative approach to developing long-term business relationships.
His efforts added large accounts such as Fisher-Price, Bose and Disney as well as several mid-sized companies, start-ups and inventors to the firm’s list of Clients.
His professional career in Product Development is broad and comprehensive. As Design Manager, he led internal staff and outside resources, concurrently managing design support across three business divisions of Eastman Kodak Company with similar experience at Xerox Corporation, E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company and design consultancies.
He is an expert in 3-D printing and prototyping and has practical knowledge of design requirements for manufacturing materials and processes for high, medium and low production volumes.
In all, he contributed consistently to large team efforts from concept through commercialization phases on more than 45 high-technology capital equipment products. Many of those products were years in development and some received major recognition.
He has traveled on a regular basis to Europe to work with technical product development teams and suppliers as liaison of the Corporate Director of Usability, User Interface and Industrial Design of the Xerox Corporation.
Ron taught Masters and Bachelor degree candidates as adjunct faculty at Rochester Institute of Technology in several different courses and electives. He also teaches in community education settings.
