I was in the first class of enlisted females to go through training and qualify for Aircrew on P-3 Orion platform (combat aircraft) in the U.S. Navy. it was an incredible experience but not easily transferable to civilian life.
After college I worked in nuclear power for almost 18 years with ComEd, Exelon, Entergy, TVA and Xcel.
I have recently (May 2018) taken a position with Absolute Consulting as a Director of Business Development. My role is to maintain relationships with the nuclear facilities we support and create opportunities for new avenues of business in other power plants, oil & gas, manufacturing and projects.
While I am experienced in nuclear power production and other power production fields, I have never been in business development.
I have had very little training/direction on how to develop new business and would like to work with someone with experience in Business Development.
Specific understanding of follow-up, proposals, timelines and everything else related to developing new business!
