About Andrew

I have a bachelors in IT Management and an MBA from University of Maryland Global Campus. I am a program manager at Amazon Web Services. I was enlisted in the US Navy for 10 years. I was an Electronics Technician and served on USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93) in Pearl Harbor, HI, then served at White House Communications Agency in DC. When I transitioned I leveraged the veteran community on LinkedIn and had an ACP mentor. I first took a contracting position to have a stable job after the military, but a few months later I was selected to be part of a technical apprenticeship for veterans and military spouses at Amazon Web Services. I successfully completed that program, then became a program manager, and took over that same program that brought me into the company. Now my job is to work with veterans and military spouses to improve their technical skills and start a career outside of the military. As a third generation veteran, helping those who have served is my passion.
