About Rod

I am currently an Adjunct Business Professor at the International Technological University (ITU) in San Jose, Silicon Valley as well as President of ROD University, which is an online Lean Startup. My passion is to make our planet a happier place especially through collaborative problem solving and innovation.

I'm an inventor with both US and International Patent Pending. I've mainly invented knowledge tools in the area of visual information organization, creativity, problem solving, business planning, strategic management, and business model innovation. I recently adapted the US Military's "Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX)" method using a single page; the document is called "1-Page APEX." The visual document of 1-Page APEX is designed to facilitate the understanding and use of the powerful approach of APEX especially by a wider audience.

At the moment, I'm focusing on developing and bringing to market a collaborative search engine (software) called "VisionaryD." Apart from operationalizing the approach of 1-Page APEX, VisionaryD - which is currently in prototype form - can be used to rapidly access and organize information on products, services, and business models as well as business and strategic plans. Finally, the VisionaryD software can be used to collaboratively discover and solve some of the world's toughest problems while making the planet a happier place.
