About Leslie

I am a continuous learner--I like change and taking on something new, which has driven my career. I have been at Bloomberg for 32 years and have had something like 15 different (very different!) roles. I was a client (trader) who now runs a risk assurance function, not a typical progression I love people more than work--I revel in a job well done, but the fun along the way is the people. At this stage in my career I spend about 20% or more of my time "paying it forward" in both formal and informal career coaching, mentoring, and encouraging people along their journey. I have a bachelor's degree from a public state college; I thought about going for further education but was learning so fast on the job that I have not done that in a formal way--yet! Outside of work, I love traveling with my husband, hiking and other outdoor sports, art, live music (bluegrass especially), and fun food and wine. Oh, and dogs!
