Our objective: To equip caregiver/parent to use strength based communication skills and resolve family conflicts using age appropriate boundaries and consequences. Support the parent by using motivational interviewing questions to bring out the strengths of the parent.
Teach physical, mental and educational developmental stages to promote better boundaries and appropriate care for each person in the family system. Teach parents and children team building exercises to promote better attachment and communication skills. Teach basic household management skills.

Result: The parent became more efficient in household management and reduction of family conflicts. Parent/child relation increased in communication skills.

Population: Families in conflict due to substance abuse, divorce/custody, domestic violence and history of incarceration.

Job Title: Instructor and Curriculum Developer for parenting, job and life skills classes.

Our objective: To promote personal growth towards employment by teaching students parenting, job and life skills. To encourage each student to become a self-aware empowered person. Educating the student to use these skills to bring change to their family systems. To support the student in making better long term employment choices by discovering their own unique internal resources. As well as, the external resources available in the community. Finally, to promote better parenting skills which reduce family conflicts that interfere with keeping long term employment.

Result: Students increased their knowledge and practice of life and job skills. Student increased in awareness of better communication and parenting skills.

Population: Ages 18+, low income, substance abuse, divorce/custody, domestic violence and history of incarceration.
