About Kristi
Grew up moving around SE Asia, soaking up languages, cultures & how to serve.
Watched "our boys" come to Hong Kong on R&R all through the Vietnam War, & suffered, cheered & (once) danced with them.
Overcame my own trauma and rough edges to raise 2 amazing kids and build a loving marriage.
Jumped into the work world on the non-profit side as a social worker, and have been involved in all parts of the process, from case management and direct rescue to directing, planning budgets, submitting grant applications & reports, completing 501(c)(3) paperwork, etc...
I am a lifelong learner. I have a Bachelor's in Sociology & Social Work, and have never made it back for graduate work, but have taken every training, seminar, webinar, internship and mentorship opportunity that I can over the years.
My passion is people. I believe you can do it, though it will probably take some really hard work to get there, and I am living proof that disappointments and detours don't have to stop you.
