About Ian

I've been with IBM for almost 15 years as an engineer and team lead doing hardware development, customer advocacy, and human factors. I was in the Army National Guard for 9 years, and have had family members in 4 of 5 branches of the U.S. military, so I've been a supporter of veterans my whole life. I've hired and worked with many veterans whose unique skills transferred into the business world successfully, and my combination of military background and corporate experience has allowed me to help them do that. I'm happy to work with anyone, but human factors is my specialty, so I can offer more in-depth information in that area. A large portion of the human factors industry is involved with ergonomics and R&D for the U.S. military, so I think veterans could be especially well suited for those roles.
