About Joan

I joined the Aon Strategic Advisors & Transaction Solutions (ASATS) practice based out of Somerset, New Jersey in June, 2014. 
Prior to jopining Aon i had a 35+ year career at AT&T in a broad set of business functions, including global mergers and acquisitions, global human resources, outsourcing, and other business operations including finance. Most recently I was the head of Human Resources (HR) M&A at AT&T. In this role I led all aspects of HR for global and domestic transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, insourcing, and outsourcing. I represented HR with the business, finance, and legal teams in the areas of organization design, talent assessment and HR solutions; due diligence; contract negotiations; employee transition and integration; and employee communications. Prior to this, I held a number of increasingly broader leadership and business partner roles with key global client groups at AT&T. I led teams of HR professionals supporting client groups in the areas of organizational design, talent assessment and sourcing, workforce planning, succession planning, leadership development, employee engagement, and compensation and performance management.
I have a bachelor degree in Social Work from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. as well as having participated in a number of executive programs in HR and Labor strategies at Cornell, Wharton, and the University of Michigan.

I enjoy time with my family and friends and am always eager to engage in work with the community. I spent many years on the board of my township's little league program. I have also participated in Junior Achievement programs and other tutoring efforts through the YMCA.
