About Karthik
Karthik is an Associate Partner in Deloitte’s M&A Consulting practice. He advises corporate and private equity clients across the deal lifecycle by driving portfolio and market analysis, leading target screening and prioritization, conducting commercial and operational diligence, formulating operating models, identifying synergies, creating integration and synergy execution plans, and managing complex regulatory and closing requirements. He also works with clients post-deal in integration execution and value capture. In addition, Karthik’s pre-deal sell-side M&A capabilities include creating separation strategies, determining potential stranded costs, and creating separation plans across functions.
Karthik has spent over 15 years in consulting, serving the CFO Office on strategic finance matters on deal value management. He has advised Fortune 500 strategic acquirers and private equity buyers on +$150B of deal value, largely through buy-side transaction diligence, execution, and post-merger integration. His engagements have included complex cross-border deals that have necessitated analysis, planning, and execution across many countries and industries.
Karthik serves as co-leader of Deloitte’s digital M&A program execution and synergy management platform called, ‘M&A Central.’ He works to promote adoption of digital enablers in M&A execution across the Americas, UK, EU, Japan, and China.
Karthik has a demonstrated track record of hiring, managing, and mentoring a diverse, highly skilled global team; and delivering complex, cross-disciplinary engagements. He is passionate about early education programs and works with the Global Volunteering Network.
Karthik received his MBA from New York University Stern School of Business, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a Masters in Computer Applications from the University of Madras.

Karthik was recognized as 40-under-40 and an “Emerging Leader in M&A Financing and Restructuring” by the M&A Advisor in 2017. He lives in Connecticut and enjoys guest lecturing on topics of M&A Strategy and Business Finance at leading educational centers including NYU Stern School of Business.
