About Jon

I attended the United States Naval Academy directly after High School, where I studied Physics and Mathematics. Following my graduation in 2014, I commissioned as a Submarine Officer, which included completing the Navy's Nuclear Power training program, which included nuclear power schooling and qualification at a training powerplant. My first submarine I served on was the USS CHARLOTTE (SSN-766) stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI from 2016 to 2019. My other duty stations include shore assignments at Naval Base San Diego and the Pentagon. I have served on two Western Pacific deployments and have experience working not only with submarine forces, but also with surface ships, aviation squadrons, and Marine Corps units embarked on our Navy ships. At the end of 2022, I transitioned from Active Duty to serving in the Navy Reserve force and recently began a new career working at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, where I work with System Engineers and Physicists on next generation quantum computing systems.
