Entered US Air Force in 1980 as an integrated avionics tester on F-111 aircraft. Conducted software-driven test and diagnostics on flight controls, inertial navigation systems, attack radar systems, and terrain following radar systems. Separated in 1992 as a TSgt.

Obtained BA degree in English Literature at University of South Florida. Began career in commercial lines insurance in Sarasota, FL. Specialized in electronic data interchange (EDI) and held a variety of positions at ClaimPort, Insurity, Obvient Strategies, BPM Specialists, and Aon eSolutions. Owned my own EDI consulting business, CompliaTech, for over five years.
