About Julie
I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Distance Career Counselor (DCC) with a Master's and Education Specialist degree in Career Counseling. I worked for three years in the Florida State University Career Center, then started my own career counseling business which remained open from 2005-2010. I also served as Project Manager for Project H.O.P.E. which supported Hurrican Katrina survivors as they reintegrated into our local community following displacement as a result of the hurricane. My continuing education has included several courses/webinars on working with returning military. Following my move to the Atlanta area in 2010, I began working as a distance Career Coach for students at the University of Phoenix and Western International University. I am currently working as an Academic Advisor at Brenau University, a designated "military friendly" school. Some of my advisees are earning their degree online while still deployed. My passions include helping others achieve their career goals, gourmet cooking and reading biographies.
