Frequently Asked Interview Questions with Answers.

Interviews

1. Why do you think that you are a good candidate for this job?
This question gives the interviewer an opportunity to see what you can bring to the table over other applicants. Make sure to give examples that show attributes you acquired from your previous work experience that are applicable to this job. For ex: "I have conducted a Power Point presentation regarding financial increases in a retail store from such and such date and my findings were fascinating to my group…" etc.

2. Tell us a little bit about yourself?
This might seem easy to answer, but it is rather complex. The trick is to communicate some important factors from your previous experience that can show why you are the perfect person for the job. It is important that you emphasize what has made you channel your passion to pursue the job you are applying for.

3. List some of your strengths and weaknesses

Strengths: Focus on what they are looking for in a candidate in order to debut your strengths. By this time in the process, you should have a description of the job, so try to demonstrate many of your great skills that apply to the description.

Weaknesses: Try to limit weaknesses to one. Instead of saying something too negative, say something positive that you are looking to improve upon even more. An example could be, “sometimes I over-prepare for a presentation, but I think I can limit myself to only a few very important aspects.” Technically this is not a weakness since it shows you are capable of preparing a presentation, you show great interest and look to be as detailed as possible. However, you want to improve this skill to become even better.

4. How do you deal with a difficult situation at work?
What an interviewer is looking to obtain is how you cope under stress and how you solve problems. Give a scenario that you have encountered in your current job that was stressful, but that you were able to resolve.

5. What are your career goals?
Make sure to show that you are committed, that you plan to stay in the company for a long time and that you eventually want to grow within the company. This tells them that you are in for the long run and that you will dedicate yourself to do a good job since your ultimate goal is to grow within the company.

P.S. Business attire and smiling is just as important as these questions.

I hope this helps a little. Good luck from Mileda Golloshi
