Millions of Dollars and Resources for Vet Owned Businesses from the Small Business Association

Small Business

I recently attended a workshop with the Small Business Association. They have great resources from veterans as well as service-disabled veterans that want to tackle such a venture.

According to the presenter, Jorge Valentin-Stone, a veteran and the Veterans Business Development Officer (for the state of GA), in Georgia alone, $4,000,000 in government contracting was awarded to veteran owned businesses last year. He also mentioned that federal agencies are looking for veteran businesses to work with because a portion of the federal budget is allocated solely for veteran owned business.

I am sure that all SBA offices in each state has a Veterans Business Development Officer in which Vets in all states can reach out to.

The SBA also offers free workshops and webinars to share with you their services and resources. Please check it out.

I also have his powerpoint presentation. If you would like it, please send an email to pearlieperryman@livinglightandlove.com
