The marketplace is changing

Education & Training

The reality is companies are learning very quickly how to run their operations on thinner margins and skeleton crews. Long gone are the days when it was easy to find safe, secure jobs with healthy salaries and matching 401K programs. In our current economy, technology developments are making many jobs obsolete. People are being replaced by atomization and mobile applications faster than ever. Large companies are realizing they can get more from employees by cutting their salaries in half and putting them on a performance-based compensation plan which cuts company liability and creates incentives for employees to achieve measurable results.

Our economy will very soon be a performance-based economy. Very soon you will be paid based on how many pastries or cups of coffee you serve, or rooms you clean, or papers you push, just like those already in commission-based industries (i.e. real estate). If you are not ready for this or willing to align yourself with this, you will find yourself in a constant struggle for finding a suitable job. If you can accept that the easy, cushy jobs everybody wants are already filled and few and far between and becoming even more scarce you will be in a better position to evolve and work in the 21st century economy.

That being said, there are many opportunities that pay incredible income and offer incredible benefits. It may be worthwhile to search for a job that allows you set your own schedule and work from home. Let your office be the pool deck or the park on the beach. Let your hours be after dropping your kids off at school and before you pick them up. Let your benefits be paid by your income that is 2, 3, and even 4 times higher than those working for an hourly wage or salary. Let your future be secure based on the knowledge and truth that all companies pay big money for people who get results and grow their bottom line. All companies are in need of people with leadership and people skills. All companies want and want to keep people who produce and can set and achieve goals. Your future is secure based on the skills you learn and the people you meet.

Stop wanting what you don't want. Accept that things have changed. Everything is possible once you realize that if you change everything will change for you. Align yourself with the economy of the 21st century. This is the information age. Stop looking for a job and start looking for where you can learn skills that are relevant from people who know how to teach them.

Check out my book at inkwellproductions.com titled "This One's Different" by Charles Rudibaugh. Good luck on the search. I hope this finds you well and helps in some small way.

God bless.
