Seeking a Mentor

Veteran

Dylan Cubilette Houston, TX

Good evening everyone,

I'm looking for a mentor in the Finance, Consulting, or Health Care Operations division. I will be leaving active duty in a year and a half and would like to gain insight from someone directly in either fields. I'm currently attending The University of Houston for my MBA while in Houston. Thanks in advance.

I see Eric Brew has offered to chat, and he's a powerhouse in the mentorship space and hope that you leveraged his offer.

I would also be happy to chat. I have experience in both the finance and consulting industries, and am more than willing to link up and discuss your options and overall journey.

I would do some research and try to narrow your mentor to one career. It assists the process if they align you with someone that is in your main career field. Informational Interviews or general career research will give adequate information to make that decision. Keep in mind people change careers during their lifetime, now it is important to focus on a career so you can learn the language and metrics to help you apply. Thanks for you service.

to find an Advisor, log onto the ACP webpage,
click on the ACP Advisornet tab, & select the "Community" icon.
Under the "Advisors" tab, select "Financial Services" from the "Refine by" pull down box.
(Other selections include: Consulting, HealthCare, Project Management ... ),
You could also enter your target zip code in the "near" box.
Look for the "Show More" box at the bottom of the page.
Examine the advisor profiles, & use the ACP message feature for advice.
Alternately, you could have selected the "Companies" tab &
entered part of a company name as a keyword for initiating your search.

Alternately, you might find these sections of my EE webpage useful:
