Kimberly,
Thank you for your service!
Far and away the very best guidance I had on business plans was the "Harvard Business Review Entrepreneur's Handbook" It was about $25 and it got here in about 2 days. It covers business plans and the presentation thereof in depth in one specific 26 page chapter.
I say its the best based on a 47 year accounting career, the last 20 as a CPA with a master's degree in accounting. The book helped me a lot with my business plan and those I write for others. Good luck!

Sincerely,
James Kennedy, CPA MSA, CGMA
